I think it's pretty clear to most of you that follow my life, that I am a fan of animals. Alligators, Cats, Giraffes, Hippos, Hippoppanonymous, Zebras, Penguins, Lions, Tigers, and you all know how much I love fish...especially my friends Nemo and Freddy. But when you think of a boys best friend, only one comes to mind. The lovable ole' K9. You see, many little boys have a kinship of sorts with dogs, but few if any can communicate with them, like myself. Today, I got to meet CJ's new cousin Mini. Mini is a Miniature Poodle and is knee-high to a grasshopper. When she came in to my house, she was filled with anxiety and fear. It wasn't long after meeting me, that she was filled with emotions she couldn't adequately express. Immediately, while exchanging war stories with CJ, Mini and I bonded. Take a look at a couple of the photos my daddy took of Mini and I from this afternoon. (My Aunt Natalie Geier is unaware of Mini yet, so don't say anything until later tonight!)
When introducing yourself to a puppy for the first time, a kiss is most appropriate and is the ultimate sign of respect.
You then introduce her to your other puppies (from Hotel for Dogs). I didn't tell her they were fake. What she doesn't know, won't hurt her. You want her to feel good about herself.
Then, after all introductions are completed, you sit back and watch her relax and enjoy herself around her new family. After-all, there is a lot of pressure when your last name is Cohen. The name Cohen in K9, means "Servant to No One, Leader of All". Welcome to the family Mini!
