Daddy's Day

Father's Day 2008 wasn't that much different than any other - except that Daddy got gifts! Mommy made sure Daddy and I got to do lots of fun things together on this special day. We also had dinner of daddy's choice (he got steak, I got puree squash - AGAIN!) My daddy is great - on Father's Day and everyday. I hope to learn a lot about being a father and a husband from him. Don't worry ladies ... I'm taking notes.
My first try at fingerpainting - not so bad, ey?

I like to wear Daddy's hat to the park, much cooler than the sun hats Mommy makes me wear.

We started the day by swinging ...

... and sliding.

And ended with a little swimming.

Summer Lovin'

My mommy is off for summer!!!! What could be better? You will see below how hard it is to be a 6 month old - that's right - on June 11th, I turned 6 months. Weighing in at 19 lbs and 27.5 inches the doctor says I'm doing great. My head circumference was my highest as far as percentile (we know who to thank for that!)
My mom makes me wear this hat because it's cute ... and it matches my trunks.

When the pool gets too boring - I hang in the shade ...

... with my Aunt Candi!

Then, I like to spend some time just playing in my diaper in the convenience of the air conditioning.

And when the day just gets to be too much, I take a bath and get ready to cuddle with my mommy and daddy for bedtime. Man, this life is rough!

Summer time at our pool!

I'm not going to lie to ya, tonight was fun! This is the first time I have been in a pool and remembered it. I was in the pool with daddy down in Florida a couple of months ago but don't remember it too well. I think I may have been Nemo in an earlier life. I was born to swim!

Heaven!
My mommy even got in - and, trust me, she doesn't ever get in unless it's about 90 degrees.

This is me while mommy and daddy went home for lunch. I'm kidding, daddy is next to me.

Fun Day to be a Grammy.

Getting out of the pool, not so much fun. But my mommy makes it better of course.

Out in the country

Now I am the luckiest boy in the world! I have the best of both worlds. I have my Nana and Papa who live near the beach in Sarasota Florida, although I don't get to see them that much. And then I have Grandma Woods who lives out in the country where porch swings and cold ice tea is the norm on a summer night. I took advantage of the swing on a recent trip to Oregonia to see Great Grandma and Grandpa Stevens and my Grandma Woods.

This is one of my two favorite Grandma's!!!! Grandma Woods. I love her so much!

Yes, I am single ladies!

I love this place!

Here we go again! Good thing my friend Jesus gave me big puffy cheeks.

My daddy puts on a great block party!

This was something my mommy called a pin yatta?? Anyhoo, I didn't win.

So you think this is funny mommy?

This is Mr. Fire Dog. He and I became great friends at the block party!

This is my mommy who I pray every night, that I get her good looks!

These are my mommy's good friends Aunt Bri and Missy. I kept telling Aunt Bri that I am only supposed to be breast-fed by my mommy!

I know, I know..it's been awhile. But I'm back!

This Nemo fish is amazing!

Mommy, please quit looking at daddy like that.

Lookin like a toddler, eh?

Not that's just plain funny, I don't care who ya are!
